Home Visits
At The Orchard, we offer Home Visits for all new Reception children, designed to help your child feel calm, confident and ready for the start of school. These visits also provide an opportunity for you to share any important information about your child's routines, interests and individual needs in a familiar environment, enabling us to support them from day one.
Home Visits take place in your home and are booked in 30-minute appointment slots. However, the visit itself will typically last around 15–20 minutes, with the remaining time allocated for travel to our next appointment.
During the visit, you will have the opportunity to discuss your child's transition into Reception, including settling-in arrangements, daily routines and what to expect during the first few days at school. We also encourage you to ask any questions you may have.
Please ensure you book an appointment for the class your child has been allocated to, as your child's class teacher will be carrying out the visit.
